Although the hotel immediately addressed that when we complained, we probably shouldn’t have had to complain about something like this. On the downside, the room was disappointing. Everyone we encountered was extremely helpful and nice. The front desk was great, as were the pool-area bartenders, valet, and the guys who helped us get set-up on the beach. For those looking for a luxury experience, look elsewhere.įirst, the positive: I loved the people working here. A second round of drinks required getting up and hunting down another server. One entree, despite two requests, never arrived!. Lunch at the outside hotel restaurant? We invited guests and had a party of six. Need a towel at the beach? The towel booth was unoccupied and another nearby employee, rather than offer to get a towel, simply said the towel person 'would be right back'. Simple things like requesting (at noon) that your room be made up is not accomplished until hours later, typically around 3:30pm. This is a luxury priced hotel? The staff is largely indifferent. I've been in parking garages with better lit, cleaner stairwells. The elevators are small and slow, necessitating use of the stirs. Adjacent guest room balconies are separated by cloth barriers. Obvious, poorly repaired wall damage existed in the room. Excepting the view, the size, layout and condition of the room is that of any generic mid-priced hotel. On the positive side, the grounds are beautiful.
